Our Man in Havana
In Portland, Maine – there will be a presentation of “Our Main in Havana” a play by Clive Francis, which was adapted from a novel by Graham Greene.
Synopsis: What happens when an inept vacuum cleaner salesman is attempted to be recruited as a spy. Wee he just can’t just say no. The problem is he knows nothing, that is, until he starts to make-up informants! This tongue-in-cheek adaptation is lively adaption of a classic thriller that conjures 1950s Cuba onstage. This show features four actors who change accents and costumes to play over 30 different characters.
This show has preview performances on Tuesday, January 20th. Wednesday, January 21st, and Thursday, January 22nd at 7:30pm.
The show has its opening night performance on Friday, January 23rd at 7:30pm.
This show has regular performances on Tuesday, February 10th at 7:30pm, as well as, on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays from Jan 28th to February 13th at 7:30pm.
Additional performances will occur on Thespian Thursday, February 12th at 2pm, as well as, Saturdays, January 24th & 31st; February 7th & 14th at both 4pm & 8pm
– Sundays Jan 25; Feb 1, 8 & 15 @ 2pm
Ticket prices will range from $37 during previews, $42 during evening performances, and $47 for weekend matinees. Students can see the show for $20 and seniors will receive $4 off the ticket price.
